2008 R2 Cluster setup problem
News Group: microsoft.public.sqlserver.clustering

Hi,

I am currently evaluating a SQL 2008 R2 cluster setup an ran into two
problems:

1. After setup of the initial node I can not put the service online. It
fails due to unability to create the computer object inside the domain.
(sorry that I can not provide the original error message, I use a german
version and have to translate the message, so the original englich
message should be different).
I checked permissions and it should work, but it does not.
I found someone with a similar problem who said that the problem
disappeared after he set up the second node.

And this leads to problem 2:

2. While setting up the second node, the setup routine queries the
accounts for the services.
Sadly, it does not discover an account for the SQL Server Agent, so the
entry is empty and I can not enter an account name because the input
field is grayed out. The setup refuses to continue and asks me to
provide an account for the agent.

Does anyone has an idea about this?

Thanks,
Jan
