Re: Regular Expressions

sounds good -
I created an RFE for it.

i will have to dive into it on a dev arena...

a developer asked me several things about it:
is it slow?
how do you index for it?
and have you noticed a performance hit using regexp?

thanks eric

Tom,

you are right. There is at my knowledge one datablade that has been developped by a partner(I think it is a University). DO you have it?

I do not see any problem in having the regexp as a datablade, but it would definitely be a good thing to include this datablade into the product.

I am a big fan of regexp, and will certainly support you if you insert this request into the RFE site of IBM
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/
Select Brand 'Information Management' and
Product 'Informix Servers'

and enter your request with details and use case.

I will advertise your request on my RFE Corner in the iiug insider
http://www.iiug.org/Insider/insider_oct14.php

Eric
