Hi DBAs:

We upgraded to 9.0.1 from 8.6.3.  The older release had a option button to choose OMF when adding datafiles to existing tablespaces, and in the create new tablespaces wizard.  I cannot locate this option with DBArtisan 9.0.1; the tablespace form demands a data file name or it fails.  Those familiar with OMF (ASM) know that Oracle names its own files.  I would rather not add aliases to the mix.  The only place I have found OMF as an option is when adding Redo Log Groups.

Does anyone know where the OMF option went in 9.0.1 for datafiles?  If it is permanently removed, what is the syntax (and where is it documented) for adding OMF datafiles via the wizards?
