Answer:

You can use the mci commands (easy using the mciSendString() routine) or - even 
easier, this:

1   uses
2     MMSystem;
3   
4   var
5     s: array[0..79] of char;
6   begin
7     StrCopy(s, 'ding.wav');
8     sndPlaySound(s, 0);
9   end;
